Cause of Death
A 31-year-old TikToker from Florida posted a series of heartbreaking videos from her hospital bed, urging her followers to get vaccinated as soon as possible. Alexandra Blankenbiller, who was not vaccinated, finally died of Covid a week later. His shocking death has once again raised the alarm among his followers, to whom he pleaded: “I did not get vaccinated. I think it was a mistake. I should not have waited. If they are 70 percent sure they want the vaccine, Go get it. “Don’t wait. Go get it. Because hopefully if you make it, you won’t end up in the hospital as I did.”
Blankenbiller, a Jacksonville resident, died at a time when Florida is experiencing its worst increase in Covid cases since the start of the pandemic. The state recorded an average of 244 deaths per day in August, while only 54 percent of the state’s population is vaccinated against the infection. On September 9, 2021, President Joe Biden issued a new federal mandate on vaccines that will serve more than 100 million Americans. Anti-vaccines are vehemently opposed to the decision, which includes a sizable number of Republicans. However, Biden proved severe in his position when he declared: “We have been patient. But our patience is wearing thin, and their refusal has cost us all. The unvaccinated minority can cause a lot of damage, and it is.”
Blankenbiller’s Videos on Vaccination
Blankenbiller’s videos on vaccination, where he had urged others not to repeat his mistake, went viral after his death. She contracted Covid sometime in early August and was admitted to the hospital shortly after.
In one of her videos, she acknowledged her misjudgment by clarifying that she was not an anti-vaccine. “I’m not anti-vax. I was just trying to do my research. I was scared,” Blankenbiller said. He added: “It’s okay to have questions, but I tell you that I was for weeks thinking about getting it, ready to do it, but frankly I waited because I was trying to convince my whole family to do it at the same time. But if you are in my ship and you’re hoping to convince someone to do it with you, don’t. Just get vaccinated. ”
Unfortunately, shortly before she and her family were diagnosed with Covid, Blankenbiller had scheduled vaccination appointments for her, her mother, and hers, her two sisters. However, they were all affected by the disease before their scheduled time. Among the four, Alexandra became the most critical with her condition getting worse by the day.
Despite struggling to breathe, she managed to make four TikTok videos before death, which have garnered millions of views. She spoke about hearing screams of pain from other Covid patients in her adjoining hospital wards. “The video got me, guys. DON’T WAIT TO GET VACCINATED! Go now! And please pray/send good vibes etc for me. Stay safe muffins!” He wrote in the caption for his first video, while in another, he said: “I’ve been here since early Friday morning, and all I’ve been hearing is the groans and screams of people in pain. People, I’m assuming that they have lost the people they love because I know what that is like personally and what it sounds like. ”
She posted the first video of herself from her hospital bed on August 13. She had around 16,300 followers on TikTok and hers, her latest video on August 15, amassed more than 834,000 views. Blankenbiller finally succumbed to her death on August 24.
“She didn’t want anyone, not even a stranger watching her videos on TikTok, to go through the pain and anguish that she and others in the COVID room were going through. And if I could help just one person, I would.” an acquaintance shared while mourning Blankenbiller’s tragic death.
