Giovanna Fletcher (born Falcone, born January 29, 1985) is an English author, actress, blogger, vlogger and presenter. She has been presenting the CBeebies series The Baby Club since 2019. She won the 20th season of I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!

Early life

Falcone was born on January 29, 1985 in Essex to an Italian father Mario and an Argentine mother Kim Falcone. She has two siblings: Giorgina and Mario Falcone. She attended the Sylvia Young Theater School in London, the school for performing arts, followed by the Rose Bruford College of Theater and Performance.

Personal life

On April 18, 2011, Fletcher got engaged to Tom Fletcher of McFly. He proposed marriage to her at Sylvia Young Theater School, where they first met at the age of 13. They were married on May 12, 2012. It was announced on their YouTube channel on October 29, 2013 that the couple was expecting their first child with a video titled We have news. On March 13, 2014, their Son Buzz Michelangelo Fletcher was born. On September 3, 2015, they announced that they were expecting their second child. Their second son Buddy Bob Fletcher was born on February 16, 2016. On March 3, 2018, they announced that they were expecting a third child; On August 24, 2018, they welcomed their third son named Max Mario Fletcher.

Career

TV and film work

Fletcher’s film roles include an uncredited role in The Boat That Rocked, as a guest on Loose Women, as a candidate on All Star Mr & Mrs, and most recently as the host of The Baby Club on CBeebies. She has appeared on ITV’s morning TV show Lorraine since 2015, including presenting a segment for the show called Take 5. She participated in series 20 of I’m a Star … Get Me Out of Here !. She was named the series winner on December 4, 2020.

To write

Fletcher’s writing career began with an unpublished satirical project called Dating McFly is for Dummies. Before becoming a writer, Fletcher wrote for several magazines, including work experience at Heat, where she wrote book reviews and text for their website, and an internship with Bliss magazine. Fletcher also worked for Recognize Magazine. She also blogs regularly on Hello! Website of the magazine.

Through her blogging and book review work, Fletcher networked with authors and writers at book events. She spoke to writer Dorothy Koomson at one of those events, and it was this pivotal conversation that inspired Fletcher to write a book of her own. Fletcher’s debut novel Billy and Me was published in May 2013, followed by You’re the One That I Want in May 2014. Dream a Little Dream was published in June 2015, and a fourth novel, Always with Love, followed in June 2016 in the year In 2017 she published her first non-fiction book Happy Mum, Happy Baby: My Adventures in Motherhood, and later that year her fifth novel Some Kind of Wonderful.

Music

Fletcher has sung in musical performances in several YouTube videos posted on her husband Tom’s YouTube channel. She played duet covers on a series called “Me & Mrs F”, including songs like “How Do You Like Your Eggs In the Morning?”, “It Ain’t Me Babe”, “LOVE”, “You Really Got.” a. “. Hold on Me ”,“ Moon River ”,“ Love Is on the Radio ”and“ Tonight You Belong to Me ”. Most of these covers have each received over half a million views, with “Love Is on the Radio” garnering 1.8 million views over 3 years.

She made her professional concert debut in December 2016 when she sang in Alan Menkens A Christmas Carol at the Lyceum Theater on stage in London’s West End. In December 2017, she appeared on the side of Tom, Carrie Hope Fletcher, Harry Judd and Matt Willis in the musical production of her husband’s novel The Christmasaurus.

Podcasts

Fletcher is the host of the parents podcast Happy Mum, Happy Baby. The podcast gained national attention when Kate Middleton showed up to share her own experiences with motherhood. Fletcher took the podcast on tour in 2019 with guests including Helen Flanagan, Gemma Atkinson, Bryony Gordon, Jamelia, Ore & Portia Oduba, Kaytee Jones and Christine McGuinness.
