Lisa Brown was an American actress, passed away. She was best known for her work on daytime television, playing Nola Reardon on Guiding Light and Iva Snyder on As the World Turns.
Lisa Brown has died at the age of 67-years-old.
Brown’s first notable role was in Guiding Light, where she played the role of Nola Reardon Chamberlain from 1980 to 1985 and again from 1995 to 1998 (with an appearance in the final weeks of the show in 2009). She and actor Michael Tylo, who played Quint, were a popular couple on the show.
Brown also created another notable soap opera role in the form of Iva Snyder on As the World Turns, playing it from November 6, 1985, to 1994, and with several guest appearances from 1998 to 2003.
Both roles were created by writer Douglas Marland, and Brown was somewhat of a “muse” for Marland’s writing.
After she concluded her acting roles on both shows, she was an acting coach for Guiding Light and One Life to Live.
Brown appeared in the title role of the Broadway version of 42nd Street in the early 1980s, while simultaneously playing her role in Guiding Light. Other day job includes a brief stint as a corrupt FBI agent on Loving in 1995.

Brown was married to actor Tom Nielsen, who once played her boyfriend Floyd Parker in Guiding Light, from 1982 to 1985. In 1997, she married Brian Neary. Her son, James Anthony Nielsen, played his youngest son on Guiding Light and is now the lead singer of Senses Fail. Brown helped produce and direct her videos.
