Roland Hueston, two teenagers have been charged with murder in connection with the New Year’s Day death of a Good Samaritan who jumped onto the Bronx subway tracks to save another man, police said.

‘I’m crying for that man. I don’t know what to say. He went to help my son and look what happened. He should be in the glory of God, that man,” Paulino told the New York Post on Monday.

About the attack, she said: ‘He told me he was attacked. He was a gang and they began to beat him and threw him on the tracks, ‘and she added, he could hardly speak because he is in a lot of pain. ‘

Hueston, who lived in the Bronx, worked as a security officer at a risk consulting firm, according to his Facebook account.

Her mother, Millicent Hueston, told the Daily News that her son “died as she lived, helping people.”

Hueston is survived by his parents and his younger sister.

Hueston’s friends have been posting tributes to him on social media in the wake of his death.

“Roland V Hueston III was more than a friend, he was like a brother to me and my siblings, a son to my parents, a godfather to my daughter,” one mourner wrote. “I have no words, I am not well and this is affecting me a lot.”
