Shaun Runyon was an electrician in Florida who attacked his colleagues in the house they shared on a temporary work project, killing three of them. The incident took place after electrician Shaun Runyon got into a fight with a supervisor. Runyon and his co-workers lived in Davenport, temporarily working in a supermarket for a Pennsylvania power company. Davenport is a community located 55 km southwest of Orlando in central Florida.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said during a news conference that an argument broke out between the 39-year-old and his supervisor on Friday, September 1, when he struck the supervisor and fled. He then returned to the house he shared with his co-workers and began attacking them with a baseball bat and a knife. He beat one of the men to death while he slept, while a second man was found dead on the front porch. The third victim had to be rushed to the hospital and “was not expected to survive,” the sheriff said.

Victim
Runyon chased the fourth victim into the street, hitting him with the bat, while another man managed to escape unscathed with his wife and daughter, 7. Runyon then escaped and a massive manhunt was launched to catch him, with dozens of MPs, K-9 units, drones, and a helicopter.
Hours later, he appeared at the home of a Lake Wales couple, wrapped in bloody clothing, and told them he had been raped. The man dumped his bloody clothes at his house and the couple asked him to go to the hospital. Runyon was eventually captured.

The sheriff confirmed that charges will be brought against Runyon, who was not injured. The identities of the victims were not immediately released. The sheriff said Runyon also has a violent criminal record. He had been previously arrested in connection with a strangulation case in Pennsylvania. “He knew all these victims. We have no idea what made him so outraged that more than 24 hours later he came back and tried to kill all of them, ”Judd said.
