Gigi Hadid is an American fashion model who is signed to IMG Models since 2013. In November 2014, Hadid made her debut in the Top 50 Models ranking at Models.com. In 2016, she was named International Model of the Year by the British Fashion Council. Over the span of four years, Hadid has made 35 appearances on international Vogue magazine covers.
On Saturday, the supermodel, 25, posed for a mirror selfie on Instagram while wearing a Vote T-shirt tucked into a pair of bright yellow pants. In her caption, Hadid urged her followers to vote in the 2020 presidential election on Nov. 3 and included information on when early voting takes place per state.
“I voted absentee last week with my daughter next to me, for an America I want her to see; but not just for us- for fellow Americans that are less privileged, with hope for a nation that is unified, that is empathetic, & for a leader that is compassionate,” the new mom wrote.

Early Life
Jelena Noura Hadid was born in Los Angeles to real estate developer Mohamed Hadid and former model Yolanda Hadid. Her mother is Dutch, and her father is Palestinian. Through her father she claims descent from Daher Al Omer, Prince of Nazareth and the Sheik of Galilee. Hadid has two younger siblings, a sister, Bella, and a brother, Anwar, both of whom are also models. She has two older paternal half-sisters, Marielle and Alana. In 2013, Hadid graduated from Malibu High School, where she was captain of the varsity volleyball team as well as a competitive horseback rider.
Following high school, she moved to New York City, to focus on her studies and her modeling career. Hadid studied criminal psychology at The New School beginning in the fall of 2013, but suspended her studies to focus on her modeling career.
Personal Life
Hadid revealed in 2014 that she was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease, and reiterated this in 2016.
Media personality Vitalii Sediuk assaulted Hadid in 2016, and she was commended on how she defended herself from him. In 2017, Hadid attempted to travel to Shanghai to participate in the 2017 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show but ultimately could not, as her Chinese visa was reportedly revoked after an online video showing her doing a slant-eyes gesture in imitation of Buddha was criticized as racist by Chinese internet users. Victoria’s Secret declined to comment when asked whether Hadid pulled out of the fashion show on her own, was asked to by the company, or whether Chinese authorities applied any pressure.

Welcomed Her First Child
Gigi Hadid is showing off her post-baby body weeks after welcoming her daughter with boyfriend Zayn Malik.
On Sept. 23, Hadid and Malik, 27, announced on their respective social media accounts that they welcomed their first child together, a daughter, the weekend prior. “Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful,” the former One Direction member wrote on Twitter.
“To try put into words how I am feeling right now would be an impossible task,” the new dad continued. “The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together x.”
The model shared another black and white image featuring Malik and their daughter holding hands, writing, “Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world. So in love🥺💕.”

Hadid confirmed she was expecting with Malik during an April 30 interview with Jimmy Fallon, telling The Tonight Show host, “Obviously, we wish they could’ve announced it on our own terms, but we’re very excited and happy and grateful for everyone’s well-wishes and support.”
Sources close to the couple told PEOPLE in May that the couple was “thrilled” about the baby and their next chapter together.
“They’ve been through their ups and downs, but neither stopped caring about the other,” a fashion-world source said. “They’ve jumped on the timing of having a baby and are preparing for their new lives.”
