A friend wrote on Schabusiness’s Facebook page after her arrest: “She knew she had mental health and drug addiction issues, but the truth is she didn’t know the drug side of her when she was arrested. We went out, I wasn’t drugged. This is the girl who cried when I told her that she had a tumor on her leg, that she cried tears of happiness thanking God when my family received a Christmas miracle. She was always very kind to me and my family. But for the last month, I had barely heard from her and assumed she was on a drug binge. And, to be honest, he was worried about her, but not in the way that he thought it was something she was capable of. I wish I could have helped straighten out her life. I really do, but now it’s too late and I’ll feel guilty for not being there for her more.”
The friend added: “I am one of the few sober friends she had. There aren’t many of us that she associated with who were sober. So it’s hard. She made a decision and unfortunately, she will have to live with it for the rest of her life and it breaks my heart for everyone involved. I’m just having a lot of emotions and it hurts. This girl slept in my house she played with my children. I have known her for almost 9 years. It’s hard to accept that someone I thought was a thing was capable of such a thing. ”
